Computer Training Program

Location: Thanapara village, Rajshahi District
Description:
Thanapara Swallows offers computer trainings in its own computer training centre. The centre is equipped with 15 computers, providing the training for 30 people in two day shifts. The morning shift is from 10am until 13pm and afternoon one from 3 until 6pm.
There are two kinds of trainings. One is for three months and teaches only Microsoft Excel and MS Word. It costs Tk 1,500 (less than USD 20). The other one last six months and covers whole MS Office. The costs are Tk 4,500 (around USD 50). The trainings are open for everybody, be it men, women, elderly or youth. They are mostly attended by students though.
To complete the training the attendants have to pass an exam approved by Technical Education Board, a Bangladeshi government agency. Then they get the certificate, approving their gained computer skills. Such skills are wildly required by employers in Bangladesh now.
The program is covered by the training fees. Admissions can be reduced in individual cases upon the decision of the organization’s Executive Director.
